Carlsbad Caverns

This morning we left Roswell, after a great breakfast at the Hamptom Inn for our adventures at Carlsbad Caverns. I have been wanting to visit since 2013. When I first heard of them. Since we are a military family the $20.00 park fee is waived and a national park pass is given right at the ticket counter, yay! 

This place is AWESOME....as we drive in the 7-8 mile drive in, on beautiful winding roads, we are already planning our trip back with the kidS :) AMAZING!

Inside there are 31 miles of trails inside to tour. Because of availability we did the Kings Palace tour. This is listed as moderately strenuous and slated to last 1.5 hours.

For us it was slow pace with frequent periods of sitting for atleast 15 minutes. The tour had tons of history and geological information. It was fun, but we had hoped for more walking and strenuous inclines. Again, we are alwady planning our next tour :)
