20th anniversary road trip

I am aware that our anniversary was March 11 but at that time we had other priorities! Yes, it's kind of strange that we choose good Friday as our day of departure...but it is really very rare to encounter a long weekend that we are both home and not working :) so here we are! I am blogging from a hotel in Roswell, NM.

Why are we back in the room so early? Because everything closes at 5 o'clock here 😠 Now, I did not have crazy expectations for our stop here and I am still disappointed! I had really hoped to see some of the places from the Roswell series from the 90's...oh well, just means that we will get to the cavernsearly  tomorrow!

The route we chose to drive  was interesting. We opted to take 380 desiring to avoid Fort Worth at all cost!!!! While there was VERY little traffic (barely any) there was also a lack of restrooms, places to eat, or get gas :) thankfully there is a historic site marker every so many miles...so if you chose to drive route 380 make sure to carry toilet paper to pee on the side of the road😁
