valentine art with Elyse

Today Elyse  and I set out to do a little craft.

Items used

wax paper
tissue paper
crayons of various colors
ribbon
paper towels
glue gun

We placed wax paper ontop on an old towel (to protect the ironing board)

cut little hearts out of tissue paper and placed them onto our wax paper.  Then applied various colors of crayon shavings (we used the blade from our scissors across the side of the crayon).  Once we had the amount of color we wanted...we placed the other sheet of wax paper on top.

placed paper towels on top of it all and used our iron on med-high heat to melt it all together.....

We then used a heart shaped template and cut out as many hearts as we could.....we used 2 sizes!

used our glue gun to attach ribbon to heart...using vairous lengths :)
